  • Spontaneous chi kung

    Dear Shaolin Wahnam members,

Something wrong happened to me yesterday while I was performing spontaneous chi kung.

As usually I was performing self manifested chi movement after lifting the sky session. All went exellent- I felt refreshed, all my body vibrating with some internal force until yesterday.

That day I had very spontaneous breathing patterns and movements. After session I felt good.
But today I feel very ill, like flu attack. My breathing is painful, I have sore throat, 37,5C temperature, all my body is sore.

How do you think, is it sign of incorrect practice or I have overused my respiratory pathways?

And I have meniscus tear in my right knee. After self manifested chi movement my knee always get worse, but when I stop practise all symptoms clear.

Could it be a sign of chi cleansing my old injury?

Should I stop and review my practice?

Thanks for help and reading this post,

    Germantas

    Hi Germantas,

If I remember correctly, the last time I tried to give you some advice, you ignored it. Are you ready to listen now?

      Dear Antonius,

Yes you remember correctly. You had given me advice about herbs that I mentioned in thread "Herbs for internal force".

I used them only three days then stopped. There were no side effects.

But flu is new to me. I have not being ill for two years until now. And I have being performing flowing breeze for about nine months (with lifting the sky) as Sifu Wong recomended.

So do you have any experience abt this problem?

        Hi Germantas,

Okay, first of all, don't worry. I'm not sure if you did something wrong or not, but even if you did, we can easily correct the problem. So you can relax.

Second, I have a few questions, just to be safe:
        1. Have you learned from Sifu Wong or one of his instructors?
        2. How long have you been practicing our Shaolin Cosmos Chi Kung?
        3. Yesterday, how long did you spend in spontaneous chi flow?
        4. How old are you?

        All the best,

          Dear Antonius,

I am glad to receive help from you.

          1. No, I have not learned from Sifu Wong or his instructors. I have received instructions from his emails.

          2. I have been practicing chi kung (lifting the sky+chi flow+horse stance) for about nine months.

          3. Yesterday I spent about 25 minutes in chi flow induced by lifting the sky.

          4. A am 15 years old.

          Regards,

            Hi Germantas,

            Here are my thoughts.

First of all, 25 minutes is a long time to spend in spontaneous chi flow. It's okay if this happens once in a while, but it should not be the normal practice session.

Second, 37.5 is not a very high fever. It's only slightly above normal. Has the fever broken, or is your temperature still high?

Third, it's possible that you are cleansing out some negative energy. Cleansing is a common occurrence among dedicated students in our school. There's a good chance this is what's happening to you. Unfortunately, it's difficult to diagnose without seeing you.

For the time being, leave aside the Horse Stance. Just practice Lifting The Sky, Induced Chi Flow, and Standing Zen. The entire routine should take about 15-20 minutes, including everything.

Practice twice a day. If that feels like too much, then drop down to once a day. If that feels like too much, then drop down to once every other day.

Also, make sure to keep the mouth open while exhaling. The mouth should be open and rounded, like you're fogging up a mirror with your breath. You should hear a gentle "haaa" sound on exhalation, but make sure that the breath is gentle. I'll say it again. Make sure that the breath is gentle.

Keep us posted about your progress,

              Dear Antonius,

              Thanks for reply.

Ok, I will leave horse stance for the time being.

My temperature now is 37,2. But I still have very sore throat and cough.

When I am in induced chi flow time is stopped. One minute seems as 15 minutes.

I can't exactly notice how much time I am in the chi flow. When I end the practice and watch at the clock it's now 25 minutes left.

So, should I let go the flow for so long as it wants or take only 10 minute session?

Sometimes I have very intense pain in my back of the head. This is when chi flow makes vigorous movements with my neck. All my vertebraes are cracking intensively.

Should I make the movements gentler to not to twist the neck?

              And one thing with breathing:

When in induced chi flow, I have vigorous movements with my hands, back and legs. But they are coordinated with the breathing. And the breathing is very vigorous too.

Should I let the breathing to be vigorous as it wants?

How do you think, do these cleansing effects last long or not?

Just some more questions for safety.

              Regards,
              Germantas

                One more question:

Should I continue practice lifting the sky and some gentle chi flow while sore throat and cough or wait until symptoms dissappear?

Practice for 15-20 minutes total, as I said. The induced chi flow itself should only last about 5-10, although if you do 15 minutes of chi flow once in a while, that's fine.

Should I continue practice lifting the sky and some gentle chi flow while sore throat and cough or wait until symptoms dissappear?
You can practice while sick, but it's important not to overdo it. If you don't feel like practicing, then you can skip the session and rest.

                      chi flow

                      Hello,

After some time of writing here I would like to share my progress.

I am completely recovered from my flu third day now. Tonight I performed spontaneous chi kung and feel some difference. My movements became more gentle and I don't feel vibration all over my body as before.

As well as the feeling of internal force is less noticeable when I gently perform lifting the sky.

I have more difficulty to concentrate as it was before.
Sometimes I feel strange odor when performing chi flow.

                            Second problem

                            Hello,

Something similar happened to me as it was before.

Now I have performed spontaneous chi kung for 4 days after my flu like symptoms. Tommorow when I woke up I had terrible headache and 37.4 temperature. This now is second time when I have temperature and headache.

But this time I have not sore throat and cough.

I am afraid a little about this issue, so I will stop doing spontaneous chi kung some time.

Or there is possibility that I have catched tick encephalitis virus as I like to go into forest. However there is higher fever (38C) for encephalitis, so I dont extractly know what is the cause.

Does spontaneous chi kung help with tick borne encephalitis?

                              Hi Germantas,

you are really quite young, and not experienced in spiritual self-healing.
I would strongly suggest to go to a doctor to check up what is missing.
The thing is, Qi-Gong really heals many illnesses. But it depends on how far you are progressed, and if you are able to work with your Sifu (being necessary in this case). A beginner in Qi-Gong, without working with his sifu, may need medicinal help, and there is nothing wrong with it - rather in contrary. Getting help from a doctor means at least taking medicine against my symptoms and getting more time to work with my Sifu and progress in Qi-Gong to overcome the roots of my illness.

                              Another thing to think about:
Where do you get stress from. Your parents? e.g. your father expecting from his son several things, results, outputs you do not want to give them?
Just think of: whose demands make me sick, or behind which demands you try to hide by an illness. Do not judge or value, and do not accuse yourself or someone else: just recall. - Try to smile, to yourself and to someone else you might accuse. You have realized then, what happened, and this is your solution: forgiving the other and yourself to have reacted.
It is difficult to me to express this clearly in English, since German is my language.
If you do not understand what I mean - just ask.
                              My regards,
                              confermezza
