Prompted by the replies here, I decided to start this thread for people to post pictures of their practice surroundings, but also to discuss the merits of good practice environments.
So if you have some images of your "home base" of practice, or places you've practiced at and found very inspiring, don't hesitate to share them! Also written experiences are very welcome.
Here is a picture of my outdoor practice place. Its 2 minutes walk from my apartement. In the front is a lake and behind it is a mountain ridge. Even when its sunny the trees creates a good shadow. The direction is to the east.

Hi everyone.
Nice idea for a thread, Markus Siheng. I´ve added a few photos of Galicia, Spain, where my girlfriend´s family live, and where we hope to move to in the future. One of the things I love most about the area is that no matter what time of year or type of weather, the landscape is breathtaking (in my opinion). As you can see, there is a river (the river Miño) in front, and unseen are the mountains behind. The first two pictures are taken at sunrise from an elevated patio behind the house where we practice Chi Kung and Kung Fu, and the second two from in front of the house later in the day at different times of the year. The last one I couldn´t resist: Double ´Bows, anyone?

As you enter the woods you come to this steep hill. They use logs to terrace it, to make it easier to climb up the hill! That is my girlfriend, Paula in the yellow

When you get to the top of the hill there is a stone tower and a grassy clearing area, some nice trees, and a small cliff area to the left (you can't see it too well in this picture) that overlooks the forest and the sunset.

It is great to see all the beautiful locations we train at. Many thanks for sharing those pictures and for the idea of this thread.
Here some pictures from the lovely little lake called "Tuerlersee" where Irene and I had our first TJQ training session last week ... The first view is what i saw in Horse Riding stance the second one in Right Bow Arrow ... many more sessions there to come hopefully .
If the weather is sunny I will post some pictures of my regular training spot next week.

Thanks, everyone. I am loving these photos and tomorrow will take a photo of my practice spot. I will amaze myself if I actually manage to figure out how to upload the photos, however!
I could not lie anymore so I started to call my dog "God". First he looked confused, then he started smiling, then HE EVEN DANCED! I kept at it; now he doesn't even bite. I am wondering if this might work on people?Tukaram
I was thinking if its possible to open up just this thread for editing old posts? this way we could add pictures to our initial post and also replace pictures if they came out to big or if we manage to take a better one and want to replace it. All to make this thread even more enjoyable to watch.
Please remove this post after my question is answered.

But I couldn´t resist the images of Galicia because half of my relatives were born there and I have spent many summer holidays there away from civilisation!.
During a walk last week I found a great new evening practice spot. A little sandy beach at a river called Reuss - flowing from the famous Gotthard (Alps) over 158km towards another river called Aare and then into the Rhine where after a journey of over 1400km it reaches the Netherlands and the North Sea....
Sand really is a nice ground to practice on btw ...

Hello! I finally (thanks to George's suggestion) figured out how to get my photos up.
This is my practice spot- my back yard is, in part, what we call in Florida a 'hammock' which is a wooded wetland. This gazebo sits on a creek, the view of which is on the right. You can hear running water, baby hawks, tree frogs, cicadas, cardinals and woodpeckers. The screen saves me from the many mosquitos. I feel lots of gratitude for having such a place to practice and even more gratitude for knowing this healing art.
