        Sabah is paradise

I am back from the Sabah Intensive Chi Kung course. It was everything I had hoped for and much, much more. Thank you to Sifu and all those who made the course so welcoming and successful- especially Drs. Damian and Roseline and Bernie. Wow, I can't say enough about the whole experience.

Also, thank you forum members who encouraged me to go. The travel and being in the Malaysia was as painless and easy as you said it would be.

I am so grateful to have met such wonderful classmates and seekers and to now really feel a part of this marvelous family. I feel like a different person and can't wait to see what happens to me over the next 6-9 months as I "practice, practice, practice". I also realize even more how lucky I am to have such an excellent teacher right here in my own town, Sifu Anthony.

I hope my coursemates will post on this forum so that we can have access to each others' screen names and email addresses, and post about our successes.

Please share some of your experiences. Here is one of mine: during one of the sessions I saw a strange thing: it appeared to look like a tiny missle or fanjet (a propellar inside a housing on a jet plane) moving toward me and entering my body in one of the rare places that doesn't hurt or have something minor wrong with it. I thought this was odd (there were so many more obvious spots that needed help- though I know that the problem area is certainly not always the true root problem). Anyway, I didn't think any more of this until yesterday when that area (my right upper chest) started to bubble and vibrate like I think happens when a chi blockage is being removed! This went on for nearly 12 hours and now has ceased. Don't know for sure the result of this (but my painful back and shoulders are not painful at the moment!)

Also, I didn't suffer from jet lag at all and haven't needed any headache medicine since I got to Sabah!

I will be posting photos on a separate website, but am still figuring out how to do that. Be well, friends, please be in touch and smile from the heart.
And please, Damian, Roseline and Bernie, accept my loving gratitude for all you did for me!

I could not lie anymore so I started to call my dog "God". First he looked confused, then he started smiling, then HE EVEN DANCED! I kept at it; now he doesn't even bite. I am wondering if this might work on people?Tukaram

            My Better Half

            Dear Family,

My quick two cents is that my wife, Lara, who just returned from Sabah, is looking more radiant and joyful than ever.
Once again, thank you Sifu; and thank you to Wei Foong and Chun Nga, and to Damian, Roseline and the rest of the Kissey family for helping to make this happen.

            With Warm Regards,

                Hello brothers and sisters

Master Wong , Dr. Kissey, all from the Organizing committee and classmates,

THANK YOU FOR THE AMAZING EXPERIENCE. It was an honour to meet you all.

I was back in Greece on Monday, started working on Tuesday but I do not feel a bit tiered, actually I feel so happy, refreshed and much stronger.

I practice 2 times a day and it really feels great. I’m sure that in 9 months I’ll recover from my so-called incurable illness.

Every day I start my practice I have Sifu Wong in front of me telling me to smile from my heart and everybody next to me.

Thank you again for every thing. You will always be in my mind.

PS. Nice to read your experience Barbara and I’m so glad Lara is so joyful. Hope Carlos is OK too.

Happiness and joy to all of you.

                  Key to better life

My heart is full of gratitude for Sifu Wong and the wonderful people around him that made my adventure in Sabah possible: Damian, Roseline and the whole Kissey family (a salute to Capt. Emanuel), and meeting Joanna, Bernie, Des, Wei Foong and Chun Nga: you are all in my smiling heart.

Thanks to Joanna on the 8th I glimpsed the magic of Sabah's nature in Sepilok and on Kinabatangan river.

As I relate in the Italian forum: Freshly back from the Intensive Chi Kung Course in Sabah, Malaysia I got great satisfaction from my newly formed group of chi kung students during this evening's lesson. They've started practicing short time ago, and after a session of Lifting sky, chi flow, facial and point massage followed by a brisk walk, four out of six declared feeling great inner peace, spontaneous movement and various happy sensations. One had no sm but did feel warmth along his arms and chest, and one girl was too disturbed by a spider in the corner of the room...!

After the lesson they can't wait for the next. Even the new spider-frantic student is thrilled to come back (possibly in a clean room). I'm beaming , and I owe this to Sifu Wong!

A big hug to Barbara, Effie and Lara.

                  Carlo

Hello everyone, especially my dearest classmates! Hopefully I have managed to post my photos as promised. Here is the link:

If you cannot get the photo from this link, just PM me and I will try and work out how to send it. I am not especially gifted with this technology! Soon I will get back to trying to post my practice site in Gainesville, a task George is willing to tackle for me, but I refuse to give up yet.

                    Be well and love,

                          Compassion

I cannot thank you enough for how grateful I am for this incredible experience and to all those who made it possible. To be able to go to the Intensive Chi Kung course in Malaysia has been a dream come true.

                          The compassion that I felt over the few days of the course and to people I hardly knew cannot be put into words. I was so overwhelmed on the last day with everyone’s speeches that I missed my chance to speak, so I would like to say thank you to everyone;

Thank you so much Sifu Wong, I express deep gratification from the bottom of my heart for all your teachings. Your teachings have been truly inspirational and have changed my life for the better. The experiences which I encountered throughout the course will be treasured in my heart forever and it has been the best time of my life, so far.

A special thanks to Dr. Damian, thank you for all your support and much needed guidance, thank you Bernie for your beautiful smiles and gifts, thank you to Dr. Roseline and the Kissey family for all your hard work and thank you to Chun Nga and Wei Foong, it was a pleasure to meet you and learn from you. Thank you for the copy of the DVD it was so nice to come back to London and hear Sifu’s voice again, it is an invaluable reference.

Thank you to the Wahnam family it was wonderful to meet you all and share such an amazing experience with you and wish you all the best with your Chi Kung practice.

Big thank you to Joel for helping me get to where I am today and for taking me to the course. I can proudly say I am now engaged to him and this happy occasion to place on the canopy tops of the Borneo rainforest.

Thank you to all the Buddha’s and Bodhisattvas for all your blessings.

                          Kindest Regards,

                              A Magical Journey

I would like to share a magical journey which began in the depths of the Borneo Rainforest, before the Chi Kung course began.

Joel and I decided to take a trail at the National Park of Mount Kinabalu. We had taken several trails and this was the last one of the day. We were tired and had a lack of food and water and we were not quite prepared with what laid out before us. We missed all the signs of preparation and our eagerness to set foot into the jungle resulted in a journey which I will never forget.

We had encountered mudslides, sheer drops and logs to cross streams. There were times when the trail had disintegrated and we took extra care with every step we took. We were enjoying the stunning scenery and absorbing the aromatic scents when we then realised that we had been walking for quite a while. We came to a sign and panic sunk in when we realised we had only completed a third of the trail and we had already been walking for two hours! We picked up the pace and we supported and motivated each other yet all the while in the back of our minds we had the same thought that we had to get out of this jungle before it grew dark. The sun was setting and after trekking for quite a while we came to a sign which we thought would be the end of the trail but we were instead greeted with several trails which did not match the map that we were given. Several paths lay before us and we took each one in turn. The first we took but then decided to turn back, the second prevented us from going further due to a fallen tree and the third resulted in me falling and injuring myself. I began crying uncontrollably, I knew we were lost and help was not within reach. Joel’s calls were going unheard and I had almost given up. Then all of a sudden I pulled myself together and asked for Guan Shi Yin’s help to guide us out of the forest. Joel and I recited Guan Shi Yin’s name over and over trying to keep a ‘one pointed’ mind and having faith that we will get out. At this point the forest was very dark and the jungle came alive. I heard loud unfamiliar sounds which penetrated my mind and body but I knew we had to focus. We took the first trail again and as if there was a guiding light we took further trails and within twenty minutes we were out! We had reached civilisation and I cannot tell you how happy we were to see a road!

The following night I could not sleep. I was surrounded by a feeling of uneasiness and I felt afraid. The jungle was so vivid in my mind; I could see every detail hear every sound. I kept replaying the trek through the jungle and my mind would not rest. I had nightmares of an animal beast with huge fangs and huge slimy black like creatures penetrating my back. I could hear the jungle calling me. I awoke the next day with heaviness and pain in my back and felt quite sad.

It was a couple of days into the Chi Kung course and my chi flows consisted of vibrations. After performing the exercise ‘Pushing Mountains’, my surrounding turned into colours of liquidize which then turned into a cloudy white. I remember I was vibrating all over and felt very powerful as if I was a beast, the beast that I saw in my dreams and I roared. I believe I came to a halt and I remember being showered by an overwhelming sense of peace and joy. I felt weightless and empty. I saw a golden light full of warmth and I began drifting off towards the light and I felt as if I was a Buddha or saw Buddha. What I experienced is beyond words, beyond this phenomenal realm. I opened my eyes to rain; showers of white light. I felt so happy, so happy to be alive and I felt free for the first time and the pain in my back and all over my body had washed away.

I was later told that I may have picked up some powerful energy whilst trekking through the jungle but the chi flow had cleansed it all out. I have also realised that I was rather loud in the jungle at times and this may of have upset the forest spirits and resulting in us getting lost.

After the Chi Kung course was over, Joel and I revisited the rainforest. We had made peace with the forest spirits and thanked Guan Shi Yin for showing us the light. It was such an enjoyable and memorable experience and I would do it all over again, but next time being fully prepared!

Without over intellectualising this, the journey through the jungle represented a test of our relationship, it reminded me of life, the hurdles we come across and the paths we are faced with. It represented the mind, the deluded thoughts which can prevent us from attaining a ‘one pointed’ mind and the importance of cultivating the mind and having faith.

I can happily say that my Chi Kung practice is going well so far. I practice without fear, I have learnt to ‘let go’, ‘relax’ and ‘smile from the heart’.

                              Thank you Sifu.
“So I say to you –
This is how to contemplate our conditioned existence in this fleeting world:”

                              “Like a tiny drop of dew, or a bubble floating in a stream;
Like a flash of lightning in a summer cloud,
Or a flickering lamp, an illusion, a phantom, or a dream.”

“So is all conditioned existence to be seen.”

                              Thus spoke Buddha.
