Those who have no interest in science or how (as opposed to whether) things work switch off now.
For those who are interested in both energy arts and science the following is a work of genius which is about a million times better than anything I have ever read before that attempts to bridge the (ostensibly) wide divide. It is more rigorous (Oschman is a former cell biologist married to an energy healer), more pukkha, more comprehensive by a long way and makes the other efforts I have read appear uninformed speculation or at best a tiny part of the picture by contrast. Even if he is in parts or even entirely on the wrong tracks (he describes the book as a 'work in progress') it is still worth reading to get a great update in one place of otherwise scattered new research and factual information on the human body and cell biology.
For anyone who is a scientist by profession or inclination AND is interested in energy healing you should drop your tools immediately, beg steal or borrow and order this book right away.
Yeh so on balance I thought it was kind of ok
Amazon readers are currently giving it 5* (based on 12 reviews, 11 of which gave it 5*):
Energy Medicine - The Scientific Basis
Mike B
ps the only caveat is that although the book is in part aimed at healers it is also aimed at scientists who may wish to critique it. If you failed all your science exams at school you will have a very tough time. If you read every word it is of a near-'Nature' level. However if you skim bits you don't follow it is more of the level of an abnormally information-packed 'Scientific American' article.
