  • Toes or not?

    Hi everyone,

I noticed that sometimes, when I perform Carrying the Moon, I stand only on my toes when arching backwards. Is this normal, or at least okay? Or should I be on the ground with my whole foot?

    Thanks for any replies!

On your toes? Or just on the balls of your feet?

I'd day most of my weight would be on my toes when I arch back. I didn't even realise I was doing it until yesterday!

My general feeling about things like this is simple -- Sifu doesn't teach it that way. If he doesn't mention going on the toes, then you don't need to do it.

On the other hand, some minor errors are fine and you should not be unduly worried about form. Generally speaking, if an error like this happens without you knowing it, then it's no big deal. But if you catch yourself and can easily correct it, then correct it.

Couldn't have put it better myself
