Hi Steven, Back in the 80s when i first started to learn Yoga, i read a great statement..... it read "We see ourselves as that which we are not, and that which we are we fail to recognize." - Richard l Hittlemann
If you are seeking to Learn.....Then First you must be Prepared to listen.....If you are looking to teach....Then have The relevant skills and knowledge to do so. best regards .Ivan
P.s i leave you with the following quote

      To Shao,

I know that Sifu Anthony's words may seem a little harsh, but believe me he does know what he is doing. I personally have had to take such harshness in order to Wake Up my ignorance!, I am just glad that my Sifu Anthony understands clearly that I am not a person with a bad attitude, just someone who needs to learn allot!

Understanding is the key word here, and with that comes respect. Though what others have to say may anger or frustrate you, if you keep an open mind and show respect for others even though you may not agree with them, then you will get very far here.

      Best Wishes.
      David

I didn't understand what sifu anthony's word's meant back then I took them as insult's because all I wanted to do was go learn this art and I though I was getting held back from learning it but now I understand he was only telling me advice to stop practicing this art before I harm myself and that you must learn from a qualified master I didn't really know what he meant back then but now I took his advice and matt's and realized I was wrong about sifu anthony he's a good person who tries to help people by giving out advice exactly like matt so now I just learn from people's advice and get better at shaolin kungfu as I practice.
