I've just found this information from Sifu's QandA:

Hence, “lin jyu” or “string of beads” refers to “triple stretch”, an important method of force training in Southern Shaolin Kungfu. But why is “triple stretch” called “string of beads” or “continuous pearls”? It is because the folded fingers in the One-Finger Zen hand-form resembles beads or pearls.

“Lin jyu” is directly related to “saam jyu” mentioned in an earlier question concerning a signature pattern, called “Sideway Pressing Three Times Shooting Palms” in the greeting posture of Grandmaster Lam's Taming-Tiger Set. This pattern is similar to a signature pattern in the greeting posture of Grandmaster Ho Fatt Nam's school, where it is known as “Three Times Pressing Pearl Bridge”. This “triple stretch” when performed in a frontal manner is called “Three Times Threading Pearl Bridge”. The “triple stretch” is a very important method for developing internal force.

The term “lin jyu” is also used in a tactic called “lin jyu pao”, which means “continuous cannon balls”. It refers to using thrusting punches in continuous pressing attacks, like cannon balls continuously bombarding an opponent. When Li Shi Ming became the First Emperor of the famous Tang Dynasty, he honoured the Shaolin monks who helped him build the empire. The leader of the monks, Yuan Zhong, gave a demonstration of a Shaolin Kungfu set called “Bao Quan” or “Cannot Fist”, where the hallmark was “continuous cannon balls”.
After seeing the photos by Robin Siheng and then reviewing this information from Sifu, I'm starting to get an idea for similarities and differences between Triple Stretch and Iron Wire.

If we say that Iron Wire is for developing Hard internal force in general, perhaps Triple Stretch's forte is unleashing a similar Hard(but internal) force in a forward direction, i.e. with techniques like continuous cannons.

"Then how could chi kung overcome diseases where the cause is unknown or when there is no cure? The question is actually incorrect. The expressions "the cause is unknown" and "there is no cure" are applicable only in the Western medical paradigm. The expressions no longer hold true in the chi kung paradigm. In the chi kung paradigm the cause is known, and there is a cure."

          Ta Sei Moon

          Hey Brothers,

I’d like to just quickly address a few of your comments.

          Wow!!

It's looks like it's going to be a blast - both in terms of how much fun we'll have and how much force we'll build

Are those pictures are from a video of the whole set? Are you going to tease us with snippets for a long time before we see the whole thing?

Is the triple stretch in this set different from the the triple stretch at the beginning of the Crossroad at the 4 Gates and Taming the Tiger?

          Nick

Aha, Nick you know me too well! Yes. Of course I’m going to tease you before I release the whole thing…. It wouldn’t be fun otherwise.

Also, yes, the triple stretch is different from the beginning of the ‘Crossroads’ set.

Martin, have no fear there will be more awesome information coming on this thread.

Mark, yes I think the general idea of the ‘Triple Stretch’ is coming out now, hope you are enjoying it! There is more to come.

Continuing our picture series, I hope you enjoy this next installment. It really reveals a lot more about the set and the phil;osophy behind it.

Pictures for Ta Sei Moon 1

These are pictures showing the third series of four series "striking four-gates" in the set. The sequence is performed four times. Only two times are shown in these pictures.
The main patterns are "Phoenix Flaps Wings", "Reverse Hand steal Peach" and "Reverse Handing of Golden Lotus". Supportive patterns are "Single Tiger Emerges from Cave", "Black Tiger Steals Heart" and "Fierce Tiger Speeds through Valley".
In my younger days I used this combat sequence oftern, and it almost always dazzled my opponents. >p> Please note that all the pictures are culled from the video clips of the set while being performed, and not taken individually as poses. Hence, they show patterns in fast movements, and not patterns in still pictures.

                    Dear Robin Sisook,

Can I just confirm that the scheduled teaching times of the Iron Wire Set (3-4 PM), won't be overlapping with the teaching times of the Triple Stretch course?

                    Thank you and kindest regards

                    Martin

                      - Can I get this, Robin?

The answer: No . You can, and are very welcome to, attend both.

                      Best wishes,

                        Of course not.

                        Hi Guys,

You can have my confirmation that the two courses will not overlap. They will work together in beautiful Shaolin harmony

In fact my Si-heng Anthony Spinicchia (correct spelling this time) assures me that only 30 minutes a day are needed to learn the set well.

But I we've booked an extra hour for smooth transfers over to the 'Triple Stretch' at 4 pm.

In all, it's a 'Shaolin Force' building dream come true!

                            Dear all,

It is truly a privilege and an honor to share duties with Sihing Anthony Spinicchia in teaching this amazing set at Shaolin Wahnam Summer Camp 2010!

For myself, learning and practising the Iron Wire set has been one of the most profound and rewarding things in my entire kungfu training. I hope to see many of you at the course, look forward to sharing this great art!

Thank you Sifu and Robin for making this possible!

                            Best wishes,

                              Ta Sei Moon 2

                              Hi Guys,

I think I'm correct in saying, you can see where Si-Gung Lai got his combat sequences from now, thanks to the last 'Ta Sei Moon' post.

Well here is the next one, hope you enjoy it.

Pictures for Ta Sei Moon 2
This is the fourth of the four combat sequences performed as "striking four gates". It is simple, direct and effective, and contains the decisive techniques of Uncle Righteousness in winning combat. The main patterns are "Single Tiger Emerges from Cave", "Black Tiger Steals Heart" and "Hiding Flowers in the Moon", which is a skillful combination of Single Tiger and Single Tiger and Fierce Tiger.
These techniques and tactics are incoporated in our Shaolin Basic Sequences 5 to 8. Perhaps you can ask students whether they can recognize them.
