This was such a great day. We covered so much in such a short time!
This session made me totally rethink the way I train, and re-evaluate my aims and objective accordingly- towards more skill acquisition, and less choreography, dancing, etc!
Big thanks to Mark Sipak for travelling all the way down here to teach us, Tim Siheng for assisting, Paul Sisook for the organization, and everyone else for coming along and taking part in the fun.
It was great to train with so many of our London brothers and especially with Sifus Mark & Tim. Thank you everyone for making me feel welcome, the generous teaching and advice and the open-hearted approach to training.
The whole day has inspired me and given me some great insights into my training and practice - hope we can do something similar before to long.
I am full of admiration for George, Martin and Paul for entering the tournament - good luck brave Shaolin warriors!
Thank you everyone for your encouragement, it was a fun day and as Matt has suggested it would be good to get another in. If the weather is good perhaps I can invite you down my way, I have a nice place for everyone to train in.
To answer Martin you are right to think that being in a Zen state of mind will help and is an important aspect, but it wasn't what I was referring to. Following learning the Iron Wire, Siu Lin Tou and other courses I found my own training had changed in another direction. This had a profound affect on other aspects of my life as well.
Perhaps we'll discuss it over tea some day.
Best wishes and look forward to seeing you again. In the meantime good luck with the competition.
Many thanks to Mark Siheng for putting on this event and to Tim Siheng for assisting.
It was challenging, but also enjoyable with quite a few eye openers in there for me, and thankfully no eye-closers!
Many thanks to everyone who attended it was great to train with you, and yeah it would be brilliant if we can have regular events like these.
