Please do not consider this post as an attack, but rather kind guidance, as it is intended. You are not practicing Marvelous Fist. You have had a nice result (feeling healthier and stronger than you've ever been), and that could be a result of training internally. However, your results should be much, much greater after training Marvelous Fist for 4 years.
I have never trained Marvelous Fist, so how can I be certain? Your results, while nice, are not advanced results. In fact, I would expect greater results after 4 years of training high level chi kung. Marvelous Fist is an extremely high level kung fu skill. The results of proper training in Marvelous Fist will be much greater than feeling healthier and stronger. I know this for a fact, as I have received greater results from practicing Golden Bridge for 6 months.
Again, please do not take this as an attack. It is simply the truth, and it is possible that it is no fault of your own. There are three aspects to learning - the teacher, the method, and the student. I cannot say where the fault lies in your case. I do not know where all of your training information came from, I do not know the specifics of your training method, and I do not know you.
If you have respectfully followed the training method, daily for 4 years, that in itself is quite an acheivement! Congratulations!
Also, if I may, I would like to comment on two aspects of your stated training method:
1) you said, "deliver as many blow's as you can to the center of the well until your chi exhaust's". All of my experience with interal arts tells me this is dangerous. Intentionally exhausting your chi sounds very harmful. When practicing internal arts like this, you should be building more chi than you are exploding out. At the end of your practice session, you should be energized and relaxed.
2) you said, "you should just put in minimum effort for maximum achievement". Anyone who has trained in high level martial arts will tell you that it takes great effort. Your above quote, with regards to your training, means train the best method for your intended results. In this way, you do not waste your time. But the effort put into correct training should be great. Please do not confuse effort with strain, exhaustion, pushing through, or "no pain, no gain".
Again, I wish you the best on your quest to attain Marvelous Fist. Your goals will only be met with a very solid foundation in internal skill. Please do not forget this. As many here can tell you, the most basic skills can often be the most rewarding!
