  • Color of Negatvie Chi.

    Hello to all,

I have read in many books and in many website's about the various methods of Chi Kung, Yoga, and Meditations. But often I have wondered if in our practice of Chi Kung and Meditation, if we have a color that we put into the image of Negative Chi flowing out of the mouth.

For some the visualization on Negative Chi exiting the body is a green color, for others it is a black smoke. Is there a specific color that we use for both Positive and Negative Chi? Or no color at all?

    Heyya!

I assume you mean "bad energy" by the content of your post. Me personally it varies, my mind like to complicate things so when the images pop up in my minds eye bad energy looks different depending on its pattern/composition. It varies, sometimes a tactile feeling of "filth" sometimes black or darker colors are attributed to it, at one time it was like a ball of tar that got carried away and de-patterned by the wind, it varies too much to describe really. *shrugs*

I wouldn't worry too much about it. =)

In Shaolin Wahnam Chi Kung, cleansing experiences, while deeply felt, are many and varied in their nature and manifestation, very much depending on the person.

So as a general rule, it is best not to have a fixed idea of the cleansing process. This lack of expectation or fixed idea will allow the cleansing experience more opportunity to express itself in the most appropriate way for the individual concerned.

Hence, not only should you not fix on the colour of negative chi, you should not even fix upon any idea of it flowing from the mouth.

This is excellent advice, Neil. Thank you for presenting it so succinctly.

          Color

Yes I truly agree with all of the said above. This is exactly the general key point in our school.

I learned from many different "masters" before, and most of the times there was visualisation involved. i.e. they prescribe to you what you have to feel and to see.

I know now for true that this is manipulation. As no one can tell you what you have to experience, because the experience of any individual person is unique.

So, the best is, just to let go. This is the beautiful thing about the chi, if you let go, it makes all this magic by itself, so that you can have the BEST benefit from your practice :-)

Good luck, means have a good chi flow

            Hello all,

Thank you all for your insight, I had wondered if we had any such color visualizations, but I never associated any colors to ether postive or negative chi, as you all pointed out we just "let go" and don't worry too much about visualization. This was merely a curiosity.

              unique experience

              Hi David

In fact I was thinking about your posting and I realised that there are colors involved indeed.

For instance I see that the color of a person's aura changes when the person gets annoyed or when the person is happy. So that I can somehow "see" what will happen next, what the person is going to say, do, etc.

In term of color of chi I can only say that each time the experience in chi flow is unique. Sometimes it is colors, sometimes it is pictures, sometimes it is taste, sometimes sounds, etc. Most of the times, howewer, it is a mix of everything. And the funny thing is that the words to describe perception, such as "seeing", "smelling", "tasting", "hearing", etc. become void, because these terms are not sufficient any longer to describe what is really going on in the chi flow. The higher the level of your chi kung the more complex this mix of sensing and perception becomes.

              WOW, beautiful

              Keep smiling from the heart.

I have had thoughts that it isn't really "colors" we directly perceive. It seems like when dealing with sensing whatever we sense gets translated into colors, sounds, visions, etc that are meaningful to us, depending on our internal sets of symbolism.

From what I have seen in the past different colors can mean different things to different people, it all seems very subjective. Even though we would all perhaps be witnessing the same thing.

Indeed, that is the coolest thing, there is so much uniqueness when it comes to high level metaphysics that every experience is a wonder. The same can be said with aura reading, or the witnessing of any astral/energy/reality structure. Sometimes when sensing something like looking into an aura I will also get visions from it, pictures, sounds, sometimes just seeing its raw energy structure and flows, etc.

There is just so much stuff to see and experience in this world alone it's mind-boggling to think about all there is to experience beyond this world.

                WOW, beautiful
