Dear Tournament Participants,
I hope I find you all well and happy and I hope your training is going as well as can be
. Over three weeks ago I had no interest in participating in any martial arts tournaments of any kind. I have also never been to one neither (unless you count badminton tournaments which I was a veteran off in my teenage years and have a cupboard filled with trophies
). However, luckily for me I stumbled upon a conversation with some Shaolin Wahnam Kungfu brothers in London and the following morning, something just told me I should make the effort to participate in this tournament.
I then gave it serious thought for a few minutes then felt it was the right thing to do and that I would benefit much from participating in the tournament. I have been very excited about the whole thing ever since. It’s been over three weeks now since the decision and I feel I have reaped much benefit already, despite the fact that the tournament have not even started.
I really feel the tournament is a happy occasion which we should embrace with positive energy. It’s a great occasion to enjoy and learn from, to be another reason to focus on in our regular practice and to push our Kungfu forward. Therefore I would like to sincerely thank Sigung, Taisipak Kai and others such as George Sihing for being supportive of this wonderful occasion.
Going on any courses within Shaolin Wahnam, I am always very keen to share food, conversation and laughter with course participants. The Ten Tigers occasion is no different to me in that respect and this is one of the main reason I started this thread.
Myself and my Sisook (Paul aka Drunken Boxer in the forum) will be arriving in Frankfurt on Saturday 11th September at 16.45. We should be at Taisipak Kai’s Kwoon before 19.00 where we will be staying. I would love to meet up and go for a meal with other course participants or any other Shaolin Wahnam family members that evening if you are available. Therefore if you are able to join me and my Sisook for dinner, please be around the Kwoon around 19.00. No need to confirm. We’ll see who’s there at the time then just go. Please note that I myself may also be delayed by my travel so just go if I am not there. If we miss each other, there is always Sunday Lunch
.
I would like to wish all participants all the very best with your training and for the tournament. May you achieve what you aim to achieve with your training and in the tournament. May your training and participation in the tournament be filled with much success, fun, laughter and happiness along the way.
With my very best wishes
Martin
