Theres quite the thunder & lightning show going on here at the moment, so my chi kung practise for now have to be dropped as I've been told not to practise during this kind of weather.
Does this apply to both outdoor and indoor practise?

This was probably the lightning show of a decade, my appartment was as bright as during the day even past midnight from the hundreds of bolts in and near the city.
The last picture looks like something out of a sci-fi movie.
The sparring continues, you shouldnt have launched that many jokes at us Swedes, i had to use some of my power to keep you away from the computer, but obviously you Norwegians dont know that its NOT a good idea to sit in front of the computer while the Thunder is going on.
Beautiful pictures by the way

He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, here lived a great streetsweeper who did his job well."/Martin Luther King, Jr.
What happenes if you practice during thunder and lighting? The thunder and lightning here isen't that bad here but after seeing those picture I see why you wouldn't! You'd be too busy looking at the lightning from under the bed. In the book it says that you shouldn't practice in thunder and lightning because it's too charging or something along those lines. What would happen specifically?
Also what does Sifu Wong mean when he says practising in a graveyard is too yin (too dead) What implications would htis have?
My elementary understanding of all this is that the balance of Qi is important (yin and yang). So if you practice in storms you could acquire too much yang qi leading to lack of balance, with the reverse being true of the graveyard.
Omar, those photos are amazing. Thank you for taking the time to post them!!
I could not lie anymore so I started to call my dog "God". First he looked confused, then he started smiling, then HE EVEN DANCED! I kept at it; now he doesn't even bite. I am wondering if this might work on people?Tukaram
Few years ago I had a VERY interesting experience with Chi Gong practice during a thunder storm.
I was practicing with another teacher then and when I heard from Sifu Roland that practice during a thunder storm is not recommended I had raised this topic with my teacher here in Switzerland. He told me that there are many different views on this. He did no think it was strictly not recommended. So my question remained in my mind.
The funny thing is that I received an "answer" the day after. I was training on my terrace in the morning. When I started the training there was clear sky and sunshine. Then, all of a sudden the sky darkened and there was a powerful thunder and lightning. I continued my chi gong practise because I felt that it was right. And it really was a beautiful practise and I had the most beautiful chi flow after that. It was almost magical :-)
Maybe, I lacked yang energy at that time and thus I was able to replenish my resources . Which would also explain my faible for thunders and storms
Hey, every day I discover new things and wonders!
Thank you for those awesome pictures, Omar. WOW. Wish I could see it life.

I once practiced Chi Kung right after a thunderstorm ended... During the next two or three days, I felt as if my cells were burnt. Speaking of that, yesterday I burned my fingers whilst rubbing my palms together at the end of my Chi Kung session (I learned my lesson). Which reminds me, I once perceived the smell of burnt flesh in my hands after Flicking Fingers.
