  • Chi kung training conditions

I started this thread to see what training conditions people think optimizes their chi kung training. I will list a few of my own.

    1. Conserving my essence thru sprem retention.
    2. having a clean body before training.
    3. eating healthy meals.
    4. constantly practicing.
    5. being comfortable.
    6. being on a regular schedule.
    7. Good sleep.
    8. stress free environment.
    9. training in environment that has a healthy flow of natrual energy.
    10. raise your level of spirit before after and during training.
    11. physical exercise like running.
    12. streching.
    13. being internally clean(get an internal cleanse)
    14. faith

Remember to regulate your spirit and to keep it high. All of the above will affect your energy level for the day or the amount of spirit you put into your daily tasks. When your spirit is high all your energy systems function better. Even your yi has a spirit of vitality. The spirit magnifies yi this enhanced yi has a stronger force to put more energy into what you do. Your yi projects your essence into universe and influences the environment. It has the stongest influence on the body and weakens as it goes out. Increase your spirit of yi and it increases the essence that you project into the universe. With a regular practice of qigong this happens natrally. As energy levels increase the level of the spirit of vitality increases. Making a person more energetic who in turn puts more energy into there practice. This is why constant practice is so important because it keeps you at a certain energy level Now that you know you can put an extra umph into your practice by consciously enhancing the spirit of your yi. I am only touching the surface of this. Hit me back with things you do that optimize your qigong training. Peace and good luck.

          These are definitely helpful.

This may actually be detrimental, depending on how it is done.

          To add a few more:

          Regular and consistent practice.
          Avoiding over-training.
          Being spiritually and morally upright.
          Training your mind.

This one I've found to be really important, and I would add to this the aspect of "mind." Maintaining a positive mindset about your goals during practice and in daily life really boosts the quality of one's practice. If a person can maintain faith that they'll achieve what they want and continues with quality practice, it's only a matter of time before those goals are achieved.

I went through a period where I lost my focused faith and really felt the effects of it. For about a year I wasn't feeling the improvements that I wanted in relation to a health issue of mine. Then at the last course I attended, Sigung showed me my error and completely revolutionized my practice. Within a few months I felt more progress than I had in an entire year, all because I renewed my faith and correct mindset.

For me, is more like keeping my mind focused, the focus point doesn't matter much to me, although I wouldn't focus at the TV for instance hahaha

                    I would like to add:

Take full responsibility for your practice

Claim your birthright and allow yourself to be completely happy and free
