"Then how could chi kung overcome diseases where the cause is unknown or when there is no cure? The question is actually incorrect. The expressions "the cause is unknown" and "there is no cure" are applicable only in the Western medical paradigm. The expressions no longer hold true in the chi kung paradigm. In the chi kung paradigm the cause is known, and there is a cure."
Dear Nick,
It is really good to hear that you are doing well in your recovery. I would ask you to be gentle on yourself as you go through this process.
Gentle and Zen.
The reason I say gentle and Zen is that you need to have compassion for yourself and the situation. But you also need to see things as they are.
The reason I say this is that quite often as we start to come out of a dark place we can get to a place that seems lighter. But this is only a place were the light pierces the dark. It gives us a direction and a way forward.
We may be out of the complete darkness, but we are not walking fully in the light. We can still come across places that are covered in shadows.
So dont over extend yourself as you start to feel better and be realistic and see things as they are. No one else can tell you this, you are the only one who knows truly what is going on. So see yourself with as much clarity as you can.
Dont think bad thoughts about yourself, but realistic ones
And remember you cannot have shadows without light. They are not darkness
Much gratitude to my Sifu Tim for starting what is turning out to be a very moving and important thread on this forum. Thanks also to all contributors and especially to my brother Nick for such an open, honest and as others have pointed out courageous account. Peace to you.
