      Indeed!

You know, I have come a long way to here, I passed a lot of different stages of live (different lives?) until reaching a point where much of live seemed somehow worthless and pointless.....
... but that also gave me an advantage to others, I knew exactly what I was looking for, I was quite clear about the fact that trying other martial arts schools would make no sense. I was looking for a Shaolin school, not knowing if somthing like that exists, but I had a distinct idea how it would have to look like.
I don't have to tell you where I found it, do I?

      sincerely
      Pat

                  Letters from other dimensions.

                  Hello everybody

As I have the honor of sharing once more one of my beautiful experiences, I went through some thinking first. I decidedto, instead of starting a new thread each time, I will start one for all my future experiences, taking as a model brother Ray's Training Journal.

If any admin thinks it could be suitable he or she may join this and my recent experience threads.
                  this and this one

Now lets start with the beautiful experience I had this morning.

It was the 23d day of my 100 days of One finger shooting Zen. As allways when I have enough time I add ten breaths of singleleg stance (each leg) and ten breaths of three circle stance to the three rounds of One finger shooting Zen, and this seems to really do me good....

This morning during Chi flow I was kind of getting in to some Kung Fu patterns, I didn't really practice them, they were just like flowing by my mind and body. Then suddenly the thought "spirit" appeared and I had a very strong feeling of a kung fu spirit leading my moves. Then this spirit seemed to evolve in to a spirit of a for the moment undefinable animal then thoughts of different animals flew through my mind. As each of these animalthoughts passed, the spirit leading me changed, first there was the dragon then the tiger then the snake and a mantis and ofcourse last but not least the lovely monkey.
Each of those spirits only lasted a few seconds, but I was able to feel them and their immense power, I could also see them move me very clearly, I also realised the differences of those spirits clearly.

This really was a very powerful experience, It felt liek opening a door and looking through it, then closing it again (but not comletely) and knowing exactly where I am going, through that door someday to stay.

For once this was so to say a more Kung fu experience and less spiritual allthough it still had a strong spirituality.

                  Whilst wrighting this a quote I once read on Sitaipak Kai's Website appeared to me;
If you want to reach the deapths of Kung Fu, you have to practice Qi Gong, to get to the depths of Qi Gong - meditate!

                  Sitaigung Ho Fatt Nam
I have to appologize I had to retranslate it from german to english because I couldn't find the original quote, but I think the meaning is well transported. I relly love this quote, it is so simple direct and effective in showing us how holistic the Shaolin arts are.

                  love for everybody
                  may all beings be happy

                  Pat

Thank you Pat for sharing your experiences, I thoroughly enjoy reading them!
I love it when I perform Kung Fu and/or Tai Chi movements in chi flow! Although I have not had an experience quite as deep and profound as yours, I am sure it will come with time, but of course I am not holding on to any expectations!
I am not sure if it is because i am in my third week of 100 days of lifting the sky every day, but I find myself using palm forms quite a lot in chi flow. Flowing between bow arrow and unicorn stances with my palms waving about quite a bit, it is very enjoyable and refreshing!

                    Your brother

you're completely welcome, thats what they are ment for, sharing the good times I am having with my practise and if anyone else can have a little of that good times by reading my posts, that's great, why should I keep it for myself if I can bestow a nice feeling on others for a minute or two.....

Thank you Charles David for merging the suggested threads.

                        Thanks again Pat,
I really enjoy hearing about yours and others experiences. I have refrained from writing my own just yet, but I may write one some time soon!

I hope you don't mind me hijacking your thread slightly here with my own experiences, but I just wanted to add that I also have noticed sometimes my hands go into a monkey paw / mantis claw and tiger claw forms occassionally too. And I can feel that the application of what I am doing is medical in nature, I'm not sure how I know, it is instinctive I guess. Probably has a lot to do with the fact that it just feels so good, during and after!

May you all continue to practice diligently our wonderful arts, and many thanks to our kind and generous Sigung for sharing these wonders, and many others with us!

                        Light to all beings!

                        Phil

Why should I? This is not meant to be a ego trip at all, it is meant to share joy and to discuss experiences, for everybody!

                                Hello again

This morning I got up a bit late, but I tried to catch up time and started my Training. Despite my sore legs, due to Sifu Ronny's marvelous "depths of Kung Fu" Training on monday (I love your basics and depths trainings),
I decided to add one more round of One Finger shooting Zen allthough my legs were allready shaking tremendously. Then I added white crane spreads wings and a round of three circle stance.
Then, all though time was running short, i decided to sit down in meditation for ten or 15 min. I reached quite a deep stage in much less time than I usually need. So there I was sitting.....
... at the end of these ten minutes like allways I shared my blessings to all beings, forgave everyone who has ever done me any wrong and asked for forgiveness for all who have ever done something wrong, and it was quite a strong feeling behind it, stronger than most the time.

Then suddanly a feeling arose telling me to make a vow, not to get enlightened before all sentient beings have attained it. It was no thought, it was a slight but haunting feeling coming from very very deep inside, it didn't feel like it was coming from my phenomenal me. So I didnt hasitate,I didn't think about it, I just folded my hands and got ready to make that vow and belive me it needed quite some surmounting, as there were thougts arising wanting to hold me back, thoughts like hey, do you really wonna give up this opportunity....

I just did it, I greeted Amitabha Buddha,Guan Yin and Sun Wukong and in their presence I wisperd that I vow not to get enlightened before all beings are freed.

I have thought about making this vow a lot (intellectually/ theoretically)but I never considered it possible.

Right after getting up from my meditation I felt great joy for a few minutes, I was very happy that this has happened but then a strong but very smooth sadness arose and it still lingers on as I wright these lines.
Now I am in fact very happy about this sadness because I belive I just let go of something big. Underneath this sadness I can feel a very strong "sphere" of peace and calmness.

                                Namo Amitabha Buddha
Namo Guan Shi Yin Pu Sa
                                Namo Sun Wukong
                                Thank you Sigung
                                Thank you Sifu
